Microblading, Combination brows (hybrid of microblading and powder brows) and Powder brows are all two-step procedures, with 6 weeks healing time in-between.
The aim with these procedures is to create balance and symmetry between the two brows and to create natural, fuller looking brows.
All these procedures are semi-permanent and depending on how oily or dry your skin is, you will either need a maintenance procedure every 6-8 months or every 8-12 months to keep them looking their best.
These procedures are not gender specific. They are for anyone who desires convenience, fuller brows and more symmetrical brows.
MICROBLADING
To me, Microblading is the most natural offering for brows. I see it as step one.
Microblading is made up of individual hair strokes, these hair strokes need to be placed a certain distance apart so as to prevent migration of the ink and an undesired solid result.
The first procedure is when I place the adult and teenage hair strokes, weeks later at the second procedure is when I place the baby hair strokes in between the previous ones done.
It is also really important to realize that what you see on Instagram might not be what is possible for your own unique brows. More often then not I have found that it's best to strive for a more natural look, your brows are not twins, they are sisters and what looks good on someone else, just might not suit you. Embrace you.
COMBINATION BROWS
The combo brows is a mix of the strokes and powdering. For me it
is the second step in the offerings for brows. I microblade the shape so it still has a fluffy and soft and then strategically fill with the powdering.
This effect is very usual for where there is no hair and I we have to create the illusion of volume lacking from the missing hair. It camouflages and blendsthe step between where the hair begins and ends.
POWDER BROWS
Powder brows are for me, the last step in the offerings for brows.
This effect is much fuller and more defined, it gets its name after what brows look like when they have powder on them.
Powder brows are more for the ladies who love their makeup OR if in situations where there is no hair, I have to use the powder effect in order to create the illusion of volume lacking from the missing hair.
