What is the difference between Microblading and the other options available for brows?
The difference between microblading, the combo brows and the powder brows is that microblading is made up of individual strokes, the combo brows is a mix of the strokes and powdering and the powder brows is full powdering – it is much fuller and more defined, it gets its name after what brows look like when they have powder on them.
Microblading is the most natural option for brows and powder brows is more for the makeup ladies or if in situations where there is no hair, we have to do the powder affect to create the illusion of volume lacking from the missing hair.
Is microblading permanent?
Microblading isn’t permanent, it is semi-permanent and depending on how oily or dry your skin is, you will either need a maintenance procedure every 6-8 months or every 8-1 months to keep them looking their best.
Do you correct other people’s work and what do you charge?
Yes, I do work on other people’s work, but it all depends on what needs to be done. If working on and touching up someone else’s work is the best option then we will discuss what technique will be best to achieve the desired results, but if I cannot help, I will refer you to a pigment removal specialist.
My price for touching up someone else’s brows starts at R1800, but it depends on what and how much needs to be done.
I require pictures of your brows to be able to begin the process, if I cannot tell via the images I will require you to come in for a consultation.
What are the different eyeliner options?
For the eyeliner, there are three different thicknesses and each thickness has the option to do either top or bottom (t/b) or both (t&b).
There is the most lash boost option. That is the thinnest, most natural option. It is camouflaged within the lash line and just give the lashes the appearance of being thicker.
Then there is the thin/natural option. This is one step thicker, but still natural. This thickness includes the lash line and then some of the eyelid as well.
The third and last option is the thick/designer liner. This is a much more dramatic liner and more for the ladies who absolutely love their makeup.
Are the procedures you offer sore?
I offer extensive numbing. Firstly I have a very strong topical numbing cream that I leave on for a 20 minute period and then I offer secondary numbing as well where I apply a numbing agent that is safe to get absorbed into the skin. I also apply this numbing throughout the
process so as to keep you numb for longer.
I always say, you will never be without sensation, but it shouldn’t be sore
Can you exercise after the treatements?
You can, but not for the first 8hrs. After that you can exercise, you just need to be very careful to keep your cream on them to avoid any risk of infection going forward.
Absolutely no swimming for a week though. Sorry ladies
Is there aftercare for the treatments?
Yes, there is a strict aftercare protocol that you would need to follow to assist in achieveing the best results.
Dont worry, at the end of each appointment I will be sending you home with an instruction sheet (like the one below) as well as a free cream.
How Do I Book my Treatment?
Book directly with Kylie via the Fresha App
Do I have to do a Second Procedure?
Yes, all treatements require two procedures. The second procedure is not a touch up - but it is actually the second step of the treatment. You will need both procedures to get the best final results.
